Rocket City New Music cofounder Sean Ritenauer and I sat down for an interview with Doree Nutt, classical host of WLRH 89.3 FM Huntsville, in advance of the premiere of my Launch Party at the UAH Black Box the next day.
I was really excited to discuss my background in and use of drum corps and marching percussion — a subject I’m often scared to bring up in the new music world!
We also touched on working with alternative tunings, NASA samples, collaborating with live players in the same room, and the origin story of my weirdo early-music mashup Krummhorns.
